Order for the Worship of God on This Lord’s Day, Sunday, January 24, 2021
• Call to Worship:Deuteronomy 30:11-14
• Hymn of Exultation: Holy, Holy, Holy
• Prayer of Adoration
• Faith Confession: Westminster Confession of Faith, 1640, Chapter 1: Of The Holy Scripture
• Question: What are the internal and external witnesses to the veracity of the Holy Scriptures?
• Congregation: We may be moved and induced by the testimony of the Church to a high and reverent esteem of the Holy Scripture. And the heavenliness of the matter, the efficacy of the doctrine, the majesty of the style, the consent of all the parts, the scope of the whole (which is, to give all glory to God), the full discovery it makes of the only way of man’s salvation, the many other incomparable excellencies, and the entire perfection thereof, are arguments whereby it doth abundantly evidence itself to be the Word of God: yet notwithstanding, our full persuasion and assurance of the infallible truth and divine authority thereof, is from the inward work of the Holy Spirit bearing witness by and with the Word in our hearts.
• Call to Confession: Deuteronomy 30:15-20 KJV
• Corporate Confession of Sin:If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Psalm 11:3-5 KJV
• Gospel Reading of Assurance: Deuteronomy 30:1-10 KJV
• Hymn of Promise: My Sins, My Sins, My Savior!
• Offering | Offertory | Prayer
• Ministry of Prayer
• Ministry of the Word: Reverend Philip George
• Prophetic Purpose Series: WHAT THE LORD REQUIRES "He hath shown thee, O Man, what is good, and what the LORD requireth of thee” (Micah 6:8)
